An unruly, naked man was taken to IU Health Starke Hospital for treatment and a mental evaluation after being arrested with help from Starke County Sheriff’s K-9 Terror. Officers responded just before 3 p.m. on Wednesday to a report of a naked man running around a yard in the 6000 north block of 900 East. The caller advised dispatchers he was being combative and was possibly under the influence of drugs.
When officers arrived, the man was reportedly throwing televisions out of the residence, doing flips and throwing bricks, according to a news release. Officers tased the man several times, but he still refused to cooperate and tried to throw a brick at them. That’s when K-9 Terror was turned loose and apprehended the man.
