A man convicted of sex crimes and murder was released from the Indiana Department of Corrections.
According to a press release from the LaPorte County Sheriff’s Department, Richard Dobeski was let out of a New Castle, Indiana facility. He is a registered sex offender for crimes against children in Indiana.
Law enforcement officials in LaPorte confirmed Dobeski’s presence in the county. He was convicted on two counts of murder in 1965 and was convicted of Child Exploitation and Child Molesting in 2008.
According to the information released from the LaPorte County Sheriff’s Department, Dobeski has seven days to register with the managing agency in the county in which he resides with the sex offender registry.
LaPorte County made clear that he has not been charged with a crime, but is making the public aware of his release.
