A husband and wife are facing meth related counts following an investigation last week in LaPorte.
The LaPorte County Sheriff’s Department says an active methamphetamine lab was located in the 300 block of Evanston Road in Kingsford Heights on Friday. At the time of the incident, six individuals were detained for questioning by multiple law enforcement agencies.
37-year-olds Tammy Walters and Ronald Walters were arrest after the LaPorte County Metro Narcotics Unit completed an investigation. The pair were booked at the LaPorte County Jail.
As many as six children were found inside the residence at the time officers arrived to the residence. Those children have been placed in the custody of DCS.
Tammy and Ronald Walters are facing charges of Dealing Methamphetamine with aggravating factors due to being within 500 feet of a public park, Possession of Meth Precursors, and Neglect of a Dependent. Both will appear in court on July 1st.
