Pulaski County’s largest and most expensive home could soon have a new owner. The Braun Mansion will be sold at auction in New York on Aug. 6th. It was built in 1998 for Braun Corporation founder Ralph Braun, who died in February of 2013. The home sits on a 40 acre property just south of Winamac and features nearly 16,000 feet of living space.
The property is described as a “perfect retreat for the busy professional or accomplished entrepreneur.” Amenities include on-site helicopter landing, a sprawling open floor plan with a glass elevator, an indoor pool and sauna with a bar and big screen, bedrooms with kitchenettes and full baths, a theater system with motion theater chairs and a five-car heated garage and outbuilding.
The property was listed for sale last September with Indianapolis-based Encore Sotheby’s International. Re/Max Oak Crest Realty in Culver has the auction listing. Visit Braun Mansion Virtual Tour to see the interior of the home.
