State Sen. Jim Arnold will discuss new state laws with the Starke County Council and Commissioners when they meet this evening. He’s first on the agenda for the 5:30 p.m. council meeting.
Retiring Community Services of Starke County Executive Director Joan Haugh will introduce her replacement, Becky Anspach to the council and commissioners as well. A retirement reception in Haugh’s honor is scheduled Wednesday afternoon.
The council and commissioners are also scheduled to appoint members to the county’s redevelopment commission board. The commissioners meeting agenda includes opening of mowing quotes for the old county landfill site and discussion of roof repair quotes for the county warehouse. The commissioners meeting is set to start at 6 p.m. at the annex building.
