An alternative learning school in Knox is partnering with Ancilla College to offer scholarships to students.
The two-year liberal arts school in Marshall County is awarding their “Ancilla Alternative Achievement Award” to two students from The Crossing Educational Center in Knox.
According to a press release, both Alaiyah Ordones of South Bend and AnnMarie Garcia of Plymouth plan to pursue nursing degrees while attending Ancilla College this fall. The school says both students overcame hardship to focus on their academics.
As part of the scholarship award, Ancilla College intends to provide full-tuition scholarships of $14-thousand, and another scholarship of $10-thousand for the woman to use towards earning their degrees.
College President Dr. Ken Zirkle says the scholarships will help students of all backgrounds “achieve their goals.”
