State Road 14 Near Winamac to Experience Closure Starting Monday
A State Road traveling through Pulaski County will be closed starting on Monday.
The Indiana Department of Transportation says State Road 14 between County Road 700 West and County Road 500 West near Winamac needs a drainage pipe replacement.

Starke County Officials Name Redevelopment Commission
Starke County once again has a populated county redevelopment commission board. The volunteer body was established by the commissioners in 2006 and set up a tax increment financing, or TIF, district near the intersection of U.S. 30 and U.S. 35 in Hamlet. It allows property tax money generated in a specific area to be recaptured for infrastructure improvements in the area. By doing so, the land becomes more attractive to other potential business and industrial tenants. The five parcels of land in the Sysco TIF district have generated $15,427.71 for the county. That money is receipted by the auditor and parked in a special account. Continue reading

Pulaski County Prosecutor Files Charges Against Former Deputy Coroner
Formal charges have been filed against a former Pulaski County official who is accused of stealing items from a dead man. Prosecuting attorney Daniel Murphy tells WKVI News he’s charged 41-year-old Tracy Rossman of Winamac with official misconduct as a level 6 felony and theft as a class A misdemeanor since the items she is accused of taking are valued at less than $750.
