WKVI wants your blood. The American Red Cross Bloodmobile will be set up in the station parking lot at 400 West Culver Road in Knox from 2 until 6 p.m. today. All donors must be in good health and feeling well, be at least 17 and weigh at least 110 pounds.
Potential donors will undergo a brief medical exam and answer some health history questions before they can proceed. Their temperature, pulse, blood pressure and hemoglobin will be measured.
Blood supplies typically dip during the summer months due to fewer school-sponsored blood drives and donors with busy vacation schedules. The need for blood remains constant, though. All donors who come out to the WKVI blood drive will receive an American Red Cross baseball cap. Visit www.redcrossblood.org for more information.
