Officers from the Hamlet Police Department made two arrests this morning after reportedly finding a meth lab inside a vehicle in the public library parking lot.
One of the men in the car was wanted on a warrant, according to a news release. He consented to a search of the car, and a meth lab, paraphernalia and precursors were found. Joshua and Michael Coffelt both face preliminary charges of manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of precursors and possession of a syringe. K-9 Terror from the Starke County Sheriff’s Office and the Indiana State Police Clandestine Lab Team assisted with the investigation.
