Enjoy family-friendly activities, crafts, live music and more during the Harvest Festival in downtown Knox this weekend. Festivities get underway this morning at 10 with an opening prayer and flag raising ceremony, followed by a pet parade. Town-wide yard sales are also taking place. Pick up a map at the Knox Moose Family Center. While you’re downtown, stop by the Starke County Courthouse for a guided tour.
Quarter bingo will also be offered at the Moose. Several bands are scheduled to perform throughout the day and into the evening hours.
Tomorrow’s activities include breakfast at the Moose from 8 until 11, with an opening prayer at 8:30 at the main stage. Don’t miss wrestling at 10 a.m. in the Moose area. Showcase your talents in the pie baking and Idol singing competitions, and hang around for the parade down Main Street at 1 p.m. WoodStarke founder and news correspondent for “The Leader” Mary Jane Bendt is this year’s grand marshal. After the parade an auction will take place on the festival’s main stage. Visit Knox Harvest Festival 2015 Schedule for more information.
