The Knox City Council discussed the 2016 budget at its meeting yesterday.
The proposed budget is for $3.25 million, with $1.6 million of that being funded by property taxes. It includes a two-percent raise for city employees. However, that budget will likely have to be cut slightly since the town is over its growth quotient.
Starke County Commissioners completed a non-binding review of the budget at their meeting Monday. Adoption will take place on October 13.
