People doing business with the town of North Judson will soon be able to pay online with a credit card.
The Town Council voted to change its credit card processor to PayGOV.US at its meeting Tuesday. Clerk-Treasurer Donna Henry says the main reason for the change was the current processor was having a mandatory update, requiring the town to buy or lease new equipment. Instead, the council decided to switch to a new processor.
As an added feature for the town’s customers, PayGOV.US lets users make credit card payments on the company’s website or 800 number, while the current system requires credit card users to pay in person.
They hope to complete the switch within the next month.
