The adoption of the 2016 budget is on the agenda for the Knox City Council meeting this evening. The proposed budget is for $3.25 million, with $1.6 million of that being funded by property taxes. It includes a two-percent raise for city employees.
The council will also discuss the annual Christmas decorating contest and make a correction to the advertised 2016 meeting dates. The meeting starts at 7 p.m. at city hall.
