Pulaski County is working on a deal with an architectural engineering firm to renovate the courthouse. The County Commissioners voted to have maintenance supervisor Jeff Johnston set up a meeting with Keystone Architecture to discuss a proposed contract.
Commissioner Terry Young says it’s time to move forward with the project, “I think we have enough information, and I don’t want to delay it any more. And I think I sent you guys an e-mail; I was pretty impressed with Keystone Architecture. They did their homework, and they know their stuff on courthouses.”
He says after getting the County Council’s approval last week to move ahead, there’s no need to delay the project, “I think we should move forward. We got the okay – I was a little bit surprised, happily surprised, by the Council’s decision.”
The meeting with the prospective architects will be held either in an executive session or a special session.
