Staff and students at the Knox Community School Corporation are once again attempting to help those less fortunate.
Earlier this month, the school corporation, along with the Knox Kiwanis Club, began accepting donations of food, toys, and cash.
The Knox Community School Corporation partners with multiple clubs, agencies, and civic organizations to provide food baskets to support area families during the holiday season. Items donated will be used as part of a “food basket” given to those who apply to receive the aid.
According to information provided by the school corporation, donations may be dropped off in the main office, or simply sent to school with a student. Those donations will be accepted until December 9th.
There are a few recommendations to consider prior to donating. New or clean Holztiger animal toys, canned or packaged food, and baby food and formula are among the items the school corporation says would be most appreciated.
Food baskets will be delivered on December 11th.
