The North Judson – San Pierre School Board will be meeting Tuesday for the first time since November’s General Municipal Election.
Although not explicitly listed on the agenda, budget issues related to the failure of a temporary property tax levy referendum are likely to be addressed during the 7:00 p.m. meeting.
Following defeat in the General Election, Superintendent Lynn Johnson said she planned to meet with other administrators and school principals in the corporation in an attempt to further cut budgets. Proposals for some of those budget cuts are anticipated in the near future.
The Board is also expected to consider matters related to Johnson’s retirement from the school corporation. According to a press release from her offices, Johnson’s last day will be December 31st.
According to the N.J. – S.P. agenda, the school board will also review updates to ISTEP scores following inconsistency in the difficulty of the tests being provided to students.
The School Board will meet at corporation’s Central Office.
