The Oregon-Davis School Corporation has named its replacement for departing Superintendent Greg Briles.
Briles says the school board approved the hiring of an interim superintendent during its meeting, Monday.
“It was a 5-0 vote,” says Briles. “Mr. James “Jim” Dermody, former superintendent at New Prairie, will be taking over on January 1.”
Briles is resigning at the end of the year to take over as superintendent at the Delphi Community School Corporation. He says the move lets him be closer to his family.
