Snow, wind, and cold temperatures are expected to move into the area this evening. The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory, which will be in effect from 6 CST this evening until 6 p.m. tomorrow.
Two to five inches of snow are expected to accumulate by tomorrow morning. Winds will pick up with gusts up to 30 miles per hour after midnight, and will remain strong throughout the day tomorrow.
Be on the lookout for blowing and drifting snow, and watch out for ice on local roads, as temperatures fall below freezing. Power outages are also possible tonight and tomorrow, due to heavy snow and strong winds.
LaPorte and St. Joseph Counties, however, are under a Winter Storm Warning, with five to seven inches of snow possible by tomorrow afternoon.
