The Starke County Council will consider a request for a loan from the rainy day fund to supplement the general fund budget when they meet this evening. Their meeting starts at 5:30 p.m. at the annex building.
They will also get a financial report on the 911 fund tonight and discuss a possible appropriation. A representative from Porter-Starke Services will update both the council and commissioners on grant funding.
The commissioners meeting will begin after the council meeting concludes. They will consider whether to renew the county’s contract for inmate medical service. Other agenda items include review of the election workers policy for the upcoming primary and general elections, discussion of a NIPSCO transmission line roadway entrance permit, purchase of an airport truck and a bridge inspection supplemental contract.
