Officials with Community Services of Starke County are looking to fill a vacancy on their board of directors. They’re seeking a member from the public sector. Director Becky Anspach says the prospective member may be an elected public official currently holding office or their representative.
Community Services of Starke County provides services to low-income and senior citizen Starke County residents. They include information and assistance, outreach, public transportation, nutrition services like homebound and congregate meals, energy assistance programs, the food pantry and homemaker services. Board meetings are in Knox the second Tuesday of each month at 8:30 a.m.
Prospective applicants should be interested in the needs of Starke County’s low-income and senior citizens, be willing to attend meetings on a regular basis and help promote the welfare of the agency. The position is voluntary.
