The Oregon-Davis School Board still hopes to have a permanent superintendent in place by July 1. Greg Briles left the corporation at the end of December for a position in Delphi. The board hired retired New Prairie Superintendent Jim Dermody to fill that role on an interim basis.
Board members discussed the superintendent search during a Monday evening work session. Dermody tells WKVI News they hope to finalize a timeline and job description prior to Monday’s regularly scheduled school board meeting. He says they should also have a better idea by then of where to advertise the opening. Licensing and certification requirements for the position are still being finalized.
