Starke County residents can do their part to provide clean drinking water to residents of Flint, Mich., thanks to efforts of the Northwest Indiana Truck Club.
Volunteers will be at Five Star in Knox today from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. collecting bottled water and monetary donations. Look for the NWI Truck and sign on the north side of the Five Star parking lot.
Drivers plan to make a convoy to Flint to drop off water for residents. The community is under state and federal emergency declarations due to the high lead content in its drinking water.
