Roofing work at Winamac Community Middle/High Schools will cost considerably less than anticipated.
The corporation had budgeted $1 million for the project. When the school board met Monday they accepted the lowest of five bids from Indianapolis-based Roofing and Sheet Metal Company for $507,532. That price includes the alternate outlined in the bid specifications.
A start date for the work has not been determined. It’s tentatively scheduled for late spring or summer with a hope of being done before school starts in August.
