The Knox School Board took action Monday night to accept online payments for school fees thanks to a new pay per click management service acquired. Payments for meals and review of what a child eats for lunch will be available on another internet access point.
PPC advertising is cost effective as the business has to incur the cost only when their ad is clicked and the visitor is routed to their website. It follows a cost-per-click (CPC) model. The business has control over the spending as they can determine the budget for Google paid search.
The board made seven personnel changes, including the new hire of William (Bill) Davis as a substitute teacher.
Resignations from extracurricular elementary volleyball were accepted from Michelle Singleton, head 8th grade; Kasey Clark, head 7th grade; and Natessa Carbine, head 6th grade.
Kasey Clark was then appointed head 8th grade volleyball; and Natessa Carbine, head 7th grade volleyball. All actions were effective April 18, 2016.
Dan Keller, middle school maintenance, will retire as of June 10, 2016.
