Funds, raised for the purchase of elementary school playground equipment, estimated to be as much as $22,000, are alleged to be unaccounted for, according to Charlene Libbey and Shelly Kemble, representatives of the Lil’ Redskins Booster Club.
Speaking at the Knox School Board meeting last night, the representatives of the currently school-authorized booster club continued their efforts to recover funds from the officers of the former KCES parent-teacher organization.
The fund issue was raised at a board meeting in April of 2015. At that time, the board took action to make the corporation holder of all future PTO-raised funds.
Booster club representatives again requested legal assistance from the school board in recovering the funds in question and suggested that the IRS and the FBI be asked to investigate the whereabouts of the alleged missing money.
In other business, Superintendent A.J. Gappa reported that the current ISTEP testing begins today and will continue to as late as May 27th.
