The cable provider for Starke County says it will continue upgrading its video network, and that may affect some local subscribers.
Those changes won’t take effect until June 22nd, but Mediacom says analog signals will no longer be used to deliver a smaller number of channels. That includes television stations broadcast out of South Bend.
Mediacom says they’re aiding the transition by making Digital Tuner Adapters available in both standard and high definition. By using an adapter, officials with the company say customers can access more channels and use an onscreen program listing.
While it depends on the community, Mediacom says 16 channels will convert to digital-only signals.
