An annual bicycle tour of Marshall County will be taking place on Saturday, and the proceeds are for a good cause.
Tour de Max will be offering three bike routes consisting of 10 miles, 30 miles, or 63 miles of riding depending on your fitness level and competitiveness. Cyclists will start from the Train Depot in Culver.
Organizers of the bike ride say revenue generated from the race will be used for college scholarships, education grants, a student art show, Real Meals, and Riley Children’s Hospital.
Routes will tour Culver’s Lake Maxinkuckee and some of the community’s various attractions. More competitive races will take cyclists south to the Tippecanoe River before heading north. For the 63 mile race, additional country riding is included, plus an extra 18 miles of riding north of the starting point at the train depot.
The Culver Community has several events taking place Saturday morning, potentially obstructing traffic for a period.
