The West Central School Board last week approved a student transfer policy for the 2016-17 academic year. They also set the number of transfers per grade level the corporation can accept.
Non-residents who want to attend classes in the West Central School Corporation have until Aug. 1 to request to do so during the fall semester. The deadline for spring semester transfer students to apply for transfer to West Central is Dec. 1.
The school board also set the number of students per grade level they can accept during the first semester. West Central can comfortably accommodate 15 kindergarten students, five first graders, 15 second grade students, 10 students each in third and fourth grades, seven fifth graders, 15 sixth grade students and 10 students per level in grades 7 through 12.
