The roof at the Nancy J. Dembowski Center was recently repaired. Knox Clerk-Treasurer Jeff Houston told the city council Tuesday evening Warsaw-based Royalty Roofing successfully applied Duro-Last coating to the flat surface. The material carries a 15-year guarantee. The council voted in May to spend $8,000 from the County Economic Development Income Tax Fund to pay for the repairs, and noted at the time that no local contractors carry the material.
Roof leaks have caused quite a few problems at the community center. Houston says damaged ceiling tiles have also been replaced.
