Flash flooding is possible as rain moves through the area today. The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch for the entire listening area from 2 p.m. EDT/1 p.m. CDT through tomorrow morning.
Heavy rainfall of between two and four inches is possible, with locally higher amounts. Rapid runoff may cause low lying areas to quickly flood, in addition to possible flash flooding of small rivers and creeks. Significant rises on larger rivers is also possible.
