The Culver School Board will soon be getting some more information about the process to find a permanent superintendent. Board members have expressed interest in getting some outside help with the search. The process was discussed a bit further during Monday’s school board meeting.
Interim Superintendent Chuck Kitchell says the board will soon have the chance to hear from some prospective consultants, “Our plan there is to meet with one of the organizations that actually supports the search and try to get somebody to come up and do a presentation to the board, either the next board meeting on the 3rd or the board meeting on the 17th, so that our board can make some decisions on how they want to move forward, what kind of support do they want in their next superintendent search.”
There are several options available when it comes to superintendent search services, depending upon how much the school board wants the outside company to do and how much the corporation wants to spend. According to preliminary discussions, the school board hopes to have a new superintendent selected by the end of the current school year, at which point Kitchell plans to retire.
