The Oregon-Davis School Board Monday night formally accepted a donation steeped in history. Superintendent Don Harman says they’re preparing to mark the 10-year anniversary of the 2006-07 basketball season when both the girls and boys basketball teams won state championships. Harman says a group of individuals in the community raised funds to create the display case that is now the centerpiece when you enter the high school. They donated leftover money from that project to the high school and officially donated the trophy case as well.
Harman says plans are also in the works to celebrate those teams during the Saturday, Dec. 3 double-header against John Glenn. The trophy case donation will also publicly recognized as part of the ceremony.
The Oregon-Davis School Board accepted the donations unanimously.
