Winamac residents have the chance to weigh in this evening on the future of the town’s park and recreation facilities. The town’s in the process of putting together a five-year park and recreation plan, and officials are seeking input from the public. The park board is holding a public hearing at 6:00 this evening in the Winamac Municipal Utility Complex.
Those who can’t make it to tonight’s meeting will have other chances to offer input. A survey will soon be available online and in the Pulaski County Journal.
Having a comprehensive plan in place will make the town eligible for additional grant opportunities for parks and recreation.
