The Starke County Commissioners hope to wrap up quite a bit of unfinished business when they meet this evening. Normally their second meeting of the month takes place on the third Monday. However, it was moved to tonight instead.
Agenda items include consideration of an amended confined animal feeding operation ordinance on second reading, price quotes for the jail septic screen to keep commissary trash out of the city sewer lines and finalization of bids for the coroner’s building.
The commissioners will also discuss the 2017 holiday calendar during tonight’s meeting. It starts at 6 p.m. at the annex building.
The Starke County Council will still meet on Monday, Oct. 17 at 5:30 p.m. at the annex building.
