The Culver School Board is expected to consider the reappointment of a member of the Monterey-Tippecanoe Township Public Library Board.
Tonight, the school board will also get updates on the corporation’s superintendent search and the sale of the Monterey School Building. The school board is in the process of looking for an outside consultant to help with the superintendent search process. According to preliminary discussions, the school board hopes to have a new superintendent selected by the end of the current school year, at which point Interim Superintendent Chuck Kitchell plans to retire.
The Culver Community Schools Corporation is also in the middle of a two-week auction period for the former Montery school. Interested buyers have until this Friday to bid on the property.
A discussion on cyber safety for kids is also scheduled during tonight’s school board meeting. It starts at 7:00 p.m. EDT at the Culver School Administration Building.
