A Knox business has earned regional recognition. Barry and Tracey Triska of Traffic Control Specialists Inc. will be recognized as Small Business Person of the Year by the Northwest Indiana Small Business Development Center during their upcoming awards luncheon.
Last November the Triska family broke ground on a new, state-of-the-art, building for their business in the Knox Industrial Park. The company specializes in work zone safety and is the leading provider of signs and service throughout northern Indiana and had outgrown its old space nearby.
They cut the ribbon on the new facility on July 1st. During the ceremony, President Tracey Triska thanked local officials for their assistance in making the facility a reality and said they were afraid they might have to look beyond Starke County for a new home to accommodate their growth.
TCS will be honored during the Entrepreneurial Excellence Awards (E-Day) luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday Nov. 16 at the Radisson Hotel at Star Plaza, 800 E. 81st Ave. Visit www.nwisbdc.org for more information.
