Long-awaited alley repairs are now underway in North Judson. Clerk-Treasurer Alicia Collins says the project also involves sewer work within a section of alleyway between Sheridan Street to Hancock Street. She adds that the town’s recently-purchased dump truck should be ready for pickup sometime next week.
However, the possible addition of curbside recycling pickup will likely have to wait until next year. While the town continues to gather information, Collins says a formal bid process will have to take place before town officials have a better idea of pricing for the service.
Meanwhile, North Judson is also in the process of getting quotes for employee health insurance. On Monday, the town council heard presentations from two insurance providers and plans to hear from two more at its next meeting.
Collins says the town also plans to review its fee schedule in the near future, since many fees have remained the same for a few years.
