Kankakee Valley Broadcasting is pleased to welcome a new morning show host to K99.3 WKVI-FM. Ray Grossman will be on the air each weekday morning from 5 until 9 a.m. Central and will continue to play the Valley’s best mix of music along with the local programming listeners expect from WKVI.
Local news will still air at the top and bottom of each hour. Additional local sportscasts have been added and will air at 5:50, 6:50, 7:50 and 8:50 each morning. Birthdays will be on at 6:40, 7:40 and 8:40 a.m. The long-running “Beatle Break” segment at 7:20 a.m. will be replaced by “One-Hit Wonders.” Kersting’s Cycle Center will continue as the sponsor.
Ray brings a wealth of radio experience to WKVI. He’s previously worked at stations in South Bend, Elkhart, Warsaw and Benton Harbor, Mich. and most recently worked at FOX 28 –TV in South Bend.
He takes over mornings from interim host and Kankakee Valley Broadcasting General Manager Lenny Dessauer, who has filled in the past several months for longtime WKVI morning man Tom Berg during his Stage 4 cancer treatment.
