Absentee totals are now completed for the 2016 General Election, and Starke and Pulaski County reported some fairly strong early voting numbers.
Pulaski County says they received 1,837 ballots in person since early voting started in earlier this year. Through the mail, 210 ballots were received according to Clerk Christie Hoffa. Another 57 ballots were cast by travel board in Pulaski County this cycle, bringing the early voting totals to more than 2,000 ballots cast.
Starke County saw voting lines stay busy up until the Noon deadline in the state with strong activity reported throughout the day. The Starke County Clerk’s office reported 2,054 ballots cast in person at the Starke County Courthouse.
Mail-in ballots totaled 287 during the 2016 General Election while 48 ballots were cast by travel board. That totals nearly 2,400 ballots cast early in Starke County during 2016’s General Election.
Voters will have the opportunity to vote on Election Day from 6:00 a.m. until the polls close at 6:00 p.m. local time on Tuesday, November 8th.
