A longtime Winamac business is moving to a new location. Smith Motor Service has repaired small engines at their Winamac shop in North West Street since 1945 and has been an authorized Stihl dealer since 1988.
Owners Bob and Chris Smith are moving across town to the Link Environmental Equipment facility on U.S. 35. Link is also a family-owned, Winamac-based company. It provides quality environmental equipment and service for the waste and recycling industries.
Link Environmental Vice-President Donny Link says, “We want to welcome Bob and Chris. They bring a long tradition of quality service, and we’re pleased to offer the Stihl line of high-quality products and equipment.”
Bob Smith says they are excited to be part of the Link team, and Chris adds the new location will provide increased visibility and additional opportunities to serve their long-time customers and win new ones.
