Knox-Center Township Volunteer Fire Department members and Knox City officials will be going door-to-door in the coming weeks to gather income information from residents.
The city is applying for a grant from the state Office of Community and Rural Affairs to add on to the south side fire station. An income survey of the community is required as part of the grant application.
City officials stress all information gathered as part of the process will be kept strictly confidential. Also survey responses will not require residents to give out personal information.
The survey will be completed by March 10th.
