An armed robbery at a Rolling Prairie restaurant is being investigated by the LaPorte County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies responded around 12:30 Saturday afternoon to the Blacksmith Shop restaurant.
They believe a white male came in through a side door, displayed a handgun, and ordered employees and customers to get on the floor, before taking money from the cash register. He allegedly left through the same side door, but officers don’t know whether a vehicle was involved. Deputies say no one was injured in the robbery.
Investigators believe the suspect was in his late 20s or early 30s, about six-feet-two-inches tall, and of a bigger build. They say he was wearing a black hoodie, gray pants, and black gloves, with a camouflage scarf covering his face.
