Three people are dead, following a four-vehicle crash on U.S. 20 in LaPorte County Tuesday afternoon. The LaPorte County Sheriff’s Office says it involved three passenger cars and one semi-tractor trailer.
In addition to the three deaths, officers say two people were taken to South Bend Memorial Hospital with critical injuries, while another two refused medical treatment at the scene. The victims’ names have not yet been released.
The Sheriff’s Office says investigators spent over two hours documenting the scene, and are still working to determine the cause of the crash.
