Prospective college students and their parents can learn about the financial aid process and get help completing the necessary forms during a free workshop tomorrow in Knox. Ancilla College officials will be at Knox United Methodist Church from 1 until 3 p.m. to answer questions about the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, or FAFSA. They can also assist in the completion of the form.
The FAFSA determines whether a student qualifies for need-based assistance like grants and low-interest loans from government. Forms must be completed by March 10th in order to qualify for state aid.
Students and their parents or guardians should bring their completed 2015 federal tax returns and other income information, and a computer if possible.
Ancilla officials stress there is no charge to complete the FAFSA, nor is there an obligation to attend Ancilla.
