The Pulaski County Coroner’s Office will soon have a different county-owned vehicle to use to transport bodies.
Sheriff Jeff Richwine is transferring a Dodge Durango to the coroner’s office after he takes delivery of the new patrol vehicles. He says the mileage is high, but it is suitable for the coroner’s needs.
Richwine told the council and commissioners this week the county highway department has expressed an interest in the old jail van, which is also a high mileage vehicle. It’s currently being used by the coroner on an as-needed basis.
