Starke County children ages birth through kindergarten have the chance to have some fun while learning valuable skills this week. Knox Elementary School is hosting its third annual Block Party Thursday evening.
The free event includes organized play stations, where preschool and kindergarten teachers will work with children and their parents. A light meal will also be available. Block play has been shown to help kids develop math, science, literacy, social, and physical skills, according to Knox school officials.
The theme for this year’s Block Party is We Are Building Up Some Fun. It will take place Thursday evening from 5:00 to 6:00 at Knox Elementary School.
