N.J.-S.P. Board to Discuss Possible Reductions in Force Tonight

The North Judson-San Pierre School Board will take the first steps in the possible reduction in force process when they meet tonight. The agenda for their 7 p.m. session includes approval of notification of reductions in force. The notice of intent to eliminate positions is required by the state before any formal action can be taken.

School corporations often shuffle teachers around based on their licensure as openings are created due to retirements or resignations in an effort to preserve as many jobs as possible.

Other items on tonight’s agenda include approval of the 2017 driver’s education program, a bus purchase and an AUP agreement.

The North Judson-San Pierre School Board will meet at 7 p.m. at the central office.
