The Pulaski County Commissioners will once again revisit tourism advertising this morning. Last month, they rejected a proposal from the Community Development Commission to run commercials on Comcast cable systems in the Chicago area, as well as buy some online advertising.
The commissioners have expressed skepticism at advertising on cable television, believing that digital marketing would be more effective. Now, CDC Executive Director Nathan Origer is asking the commissioners to consider some lower-cost options.
In other business this morning, the commissioners will consider contracts for the courthouse bathroom renovation. The project would turn the two basement restrooms into four unisex bathrooms, in order to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Today’s Pulaski County Commissioners meeting starts at 8:00 a.m. EDT at the Pulaski County Courthouse. They will also meet in special session this afternoon at 1:30 to hear proposals from health insurance providers.
