Appointments for free tax preparation services are still available at the Starke County Public Library in Knox.
Officials with the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program will be preparing taxes by appointment on Wednesday, March 29 and Thursday, March 30 from noon until 5 p.m. Appointments are also available Wednesday, April 5 and Thursday, April 6 from noon until 5 p.m. and Saturday, April 8 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Income limits apply. The VITA serves people who earned less than $54,000 in 2016.

One of the library’s certified tax preparers will call back as soon as possible. When they do, they will ask questions to determine if they will be able to prepare and e-file your tax return.
