Pulaski County is looking for a new IT director. RB Walters resigned from the position at the end of March.
On Monday, the county commissioners discussed arrangements for temporary IT services with Willie DeGroot. He will work as-needed on an hourly basis until a new full-time county IT director is hired. Under the arrangement, county employees’ requests for IT services will have to go through their department heads.
Meanwhile, County Attorney Kevin Tankersley plans to put together a list of credentials and advertise for a new IT director. DeGroot recommended that the commissioners plan on hiring a full-time replacement by the middle of June.
